The factory of Livia Polymer is situated in Mandaiyur, a rural area where nature and tranquility rule. Right from inception, Livia has preferred to employ men and women mostly from the rural population.
This was, on one hand, aimed at providing employment opportunities in the surrounding areas where progress used to happen in slower pace. On the other, it was aimed at creating a good rapport with the local population who always showed eagerness to support industrial development in the vicinity.
As often exhorted by our former President, Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, Livia remembers its duty towards the rural society by its various CSR Programs – mostly serving the cause of education.
• Providing special uniforms
• Refurbishing of school buildings
• Improvement in amenities and sanitation
• Improvement in infrastructure such as library
The beneficiary-schools, to name a few, have been Elementary School at Veerampatti village, Panchayat Union Middle School of Nallur village, Government School, Suriyur village and Government School, Mandaiyur village. Way beyond these basics, Livia Polymer had adopted the school in Mandaiyur village some years back. When adopted, it was a High School.
